Volunteering with Fauquier Faith Partners, Inc.

FFP's  many programs and activities provide substantive volunteer opportunities in the community.  Volunteers for FFP are provided with training that depicts FFP's core values and strengths as an organization.  This training focuses on HOW we serve the victims of domestic violence in our community, WHAT our programs consist of, and available volunteer opportunities.  Additionally, each volunteer position has specific training associated with it.  The benefit to the FFP volunteer is individual growth and participation in a social program that has a positive impact on our community.

Volunteers are needed for the following positions:

• Fund Raiser:  Fund raising is an integral part of every nonprofit organization and FFP is no exception.  We have funding needs for each program area -- the greatest is in the establishment of a domestic violence shelter within the boundaries of Fauquier County.
•  Event Planner:  The organization of specific events, whether for training, fund raising, community outreach, corporate awareness of domestic abuse, is an area of great need for FFP.  Your event planning expertise will help us to achieve provision of direct assistance to victims as well as awareness to the community as a whole.
• Legal Services Program Coordinator:  Our legal services program is established.  We are in need of a coordinator to serve as the bridge between the victim and the community of FFP's pro bono legal service providers. 
• Program Planner:  FFP programs are dynamic and evolving based upon regular review and appraisal of their effectiveness.  A program planner considers the input of various program participants, including victims as well as providers, documents needs and a plan on how to implement them.  Additionally FFP's program planner will be directly involved in new initiatives that are formulating.
• Volunteer Coordinator:  As our organization grows, a primary resource is needed to track volunteers, their talents, and coordinate with them for specific activities.
• Web Site Maintenance and Publications:  Our website is easily maintained (as in creating documents in Word) and requires the same type of expertise as developing publications.  A flare for document organization and design is helpful.
• Administrative:  Assistance with various administrative tasks.
